Nealon Joseph is the Planning Manager for the Airport Operations Emergency Management Division            at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), where he leverages his extensive background in emergency management and military leadership for the safety and security of GOAA’s stakeholders           and the traveling public.  

A 10-year Air Force Combat Veteran, Nealon has an impressive track record of coordinating emergency response efforts, developing and executing emergency plans and overseeing law enforcement and community policing programs for the U.S. Air Forces largest European base. He has secured over $400B in assets and responded to countless emergencies. During this time, Nealon’s work has earned him personal recognition from the Vice President and the US Secret Service Director for his role in securing key heads of state, to include POTUS.

His expertise includes instructing over 450 hours of emergency management courses and receiving top performance ratings from FEMA evaluators. He also played a critical role in leading Mass Care and logistical efforts during deployments after the landfall of Hurricanes Michale, Ian, Idalia, Helene and Milton.

Nealon’s commitment to community service is evident in his leadership roles outside of his professional career. He has served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Flagler County Affordable Housing Committee and has been the President and Co-President of the Flagler Beach-Bunnell Satellite Rotary Club.

Nealon holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Bachelor’s in Psychology and Emergency and Disaster Management, and has recently completed his MPA. He has earned numerous awards, including the 2023 Volusia-Flagler 40 Under 40, Valedictorian of Flagler County’s 2020 Leadership Academy, and multiple military honors.
