Student Scholarship

About

The AHEPP Annual Student Scholarship enables students the opportunity to attend the professional conference who have been unable to in the past due to a lack of financial support. The scholarship is targeted to students least likely to receive support from other organizations or programs.

2022 Scholarship Award

One (1) award will include:  

  • Complimentary full-conference registration*

  • Up to two-night stay at the conference hotel

  • Up to $500 travel stipend (to be used on travel expenses such as airfare)

*Pre-conference session registration not included.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an award, applicants must:​

  • Must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at an accredited university (preference will be given to students in academic preparedness programs)

  • Be able to show proof that they will be matriculating as a full-time student for the semester of the conference (Spring semester).  Proof of enrollment can include a letter from the registrar or letter from the registrar.

In addition, applicants must not:

  • Receive any organizational support or reimbursement to attend the conference

  • Have attended the AHEPP Annual Conference in the past

Timeline

  • Apply: Before December 31, 2021

  • Notified of Results: January 2022

Expectations of Scholarship Recipients

If selected for an award, applicants must:

  • Confirm their ability to attend the 2022 AHEPP Annual conference within one week of notification

  • Be willing to sign a photo and promotional release form

  • Be willing to introduce at least 2 presenters during the conference

  • Participate in the post-event survey

  • Stay at the conference through the final general session
